New Year, New Beginnings: Veganuary 2018
The New Year is upon us and for many, January is the time for new beginnings. January is the perfect time to reflect on the year which has just passed, but most importantly, it provides the opportunity to set exciting, ambitious aims for the year ahead!
With New Year’s resolutions – which focus on being kinder to yourself, others and the environment – being made left, right and centre, why not choose a resolution which will help you achieve all of the above?! I’m talking about going VEGAN. And what better month than Veganuary to adopt a fresh, vegan lifestyle?
For those of you that don’t know, veganism is embraced in many ways – but commonly it involves a plant-based diet which avoids all foods from an animal, including meat and fish, dairy products, eggs, and honey.
2017 saw the vegan movement take incredible strides forward, with the vegan lifestyle becoming increasingly established in the mainstream. Veganism continues to grow in popularity, with Google searches for ‘Vegan’ reaching an all-time high in 2017. Veganuary 2018 is now underway and with more than 150,000 people worldwide already signed up to take part, it is set to bigger and better than ever.
The initiative launched in the UK in 2014 with the aim of encouraging and supporting people to try veganism in January. Now in its fifth year, the registered charity intends to support more people to choose the vegan lifestyle.
The new and improved veganuary.com website is dedicated to providing expert advice and information on why and how to go vegan. Practical support is offered in abundance – from a starter kit to a whole host of meal plans and recipes. The Veganuary website provides all of the necessary support to those giving veganism a go.

There are so many reasons why people choose to adopt a vegan lifestyle, but putting it simply, veganism is one of the most effective choices a person can make to improve:
