Pudology and the Allergy & Free From Show London 2016

Allergy & Free From Show London 2016

Last weekend Pudology was back in London for the Allergy & Free From Show. The show was held at Olympia and was absolutely huge! There were over two hundred exhibitors – all with products that help make the free-from lifestyle easier, tastier and more fun!

On Friday we were lucky enough to have Lucy and Bill Wager, the founder and original Pudology chef respectively, meeting the guests and handing out Puds. As Arabella’s Christening was on the Sunday, I joined Richard for a busy but rewarding weekend (along with the other lovely ladies who helped us out and did a fabulous job)!

Is it OK to admit that we’re still recovering..?!?

It was a very busy few days at the Allergy & Free From Show with hundreds of Puds tested and even more sold in our fabulous Pudology cool-bags. We were completely sold out by around 3pm on Sunday to the despair of many – what can we say, our desserts really are so tasty that you have to get them while you can! As for the samples – we couldn’t get them out fast enough! No sooner had we filled a tray, then the samples were gone and we had to pop open another pot! One thing we learned – people really love their free-from puddings.

Despite being super busy we still had time to walk around the show and get acquainted with some of the other companies there. We enjoyed some divine ‘fried chicken’ style seitan from Temple of Seitan who are a vegan street food company based in London. Another favourite was the Conscious Organic Raw Chocolate. These bars come in a variety of flavours but our favourites were the mint and the orange which were devilishly delicious. The vegan, gluten-free chocolate was perfectly smooth and one or two (or three) bars may have been consumed on the journey from Olympia to the car… It couldn’t be helped! As if that wasn’t enough, Ms Cupcake were showcasing their amazing bakes and treated us to a vegan triple chocolate treat that was just perfect. And as though Inkka knew how we had indulged over the weekend, we were gifted with some of their delicious 100% quinoa pasta – totally gluten-free and delicious! (And a wonderfully healthy way to kick off the week after all of the chocolate calories consumed at the weekend!)

It was amazing to meet so many lovely people at the Allergy & Free From Show – some familiar and some entirely new! We always love chatting to you guys and discovering your stories and we love enabling those with a gluten-free or dairy-free diet enjoy delicious food. Many of our long-term fans made a beeline for our stand and stopped to talk to us about their lifestyle while they enjoyed some of the free samples.

It was also great to see so many children visit us. Many of them have lived with food allergies their entire lives and had never been able to try desserts before. It was great to see not only the response of the kids, but the parents when they realised that their little ones could regularly enjoy something delicious and feel never need to be left out.

We also ran a competition over the weekend for one lucky winner to nab a year’s supply of Pudology. As this amount of decadent, free-from chocolate is the dream for all of us, the competition was hugely popular – stay tuned to find out the winner!

It was a truly fantastic weekend – we met some amazing people (both visitors and brands) and we are already counting down the days until next year…
