Last weekend Pudology hit the road again for Bristol’s VegFest! We got to meet some really great vegan companies at VegFest – both big and small – and sampled lots of fantastic products!
Among our favourites were Ethicoco, who provided us with some delicious chocolate treats which we devoured in seconds! (Café Mocha and Strawberry were definitely our favourites!)
Fravocado’s incredible avocado-based dairy-free ‘ice cream’ impressed us with its creaminess and rich taste – the Raspberry and Basil Swirl was a dream!
We were impressed by the healthy treats too – Good Full Stop’s fruit and nut bars included some amazing flavours (including Chocolate Orange and Double Chocolate which, of course, we very much approve of) and use dates as an alternative to regular sugar.
Among the non-food related companies, we loved Eden Perfumes who provide blended organic botanical fragrances that smell amazing. Their perfumes and aftershaves smell just like the most popular non-vegan brands (including those by Tom Ford and Paco Rabanne). Also Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics which are 100% Vegetarian and encompass Ethical Buying whilst Fighting Animal Cruelty, had some wonderful products available including their Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub which smells absolutely amazing!
Every time Pudology goes to any event we love meeting some of the amazing people who enjoy our Puds – this year was no exception! We were thrilled to see familiar faces as well as introduce ourselves to those eager to find out what Pudology has to offer. One lady revealed that she hadn’t been able to eat her beloved banoffee pie since eschewing dairy, but thanks to VegFest and Pudology she was finally able to enjoy it again for the first time in ten years! Her excitement was infectious and made us realise that our Puds really can have a positive impact on the lives of those who follow free-from diets.
Our Pudology cool bags were a huge success and as ever we had many enquiries about our coveted Pudology aprons!
And the event didn’t end with excellent food and awesome brands! There were talks on nutrition, lifestyle, activism. Plus live cookery demos, a teen zone and children’s entertainment! Live music from the likes of Stero MC’s, Alison Limerick and Macka B kept people enjoying the festivities until late into the evening.
It is fair to say that Pudology had quite the weekend! As always, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of VegFest and to meet so many people who love our dairy and gluten-free desserts! Needless to say, we are already looking forward to next year!
